With all the imagery that is being produced today how much of it will be around in 50 years? Do you think that your old hard drive of iphoto pix or your aperture vault will survive storage in a hot attic or damp basement? If it did, will the technology still be around to retrieve the shots. Did you store work on a syquest or zip drive – can you still access it? A tiny minority of us will properly store our images, then periodically upgrade that storage. My suspicion is that the vast majority will be lost.
