I will be blogging live from the Lucie Awards this evening starting at 7pm EST. There are 10 honorees who will receive awards and give speeches then 9 awards will be given out Oscar style to winners from a list of nominees in different categories (full list here).
I’ve been curious about the Lucie’s since they started so I’m excited to provide some commentary for people unable to attend and announce the winners in each category. I’m fully aware that “live blogging” a photo awards ceremony may draw comparisons to watching a fresh coat of paint drying on the wall but I’m ready to give it a shot and attempt to entertain however many people tune in.

It’s EXCELLENT you are attending and giving us up to date, live reporting. I won 9 Honorable Mention spots, and would have loved to attended, but it was not in the stars this year. I am counting on you to report on all things Photography……..take photos if you can and share. Please! How exciting! Debra Frieden
I am very proud about the Berengo Gardin achievement.
His work is simply amazing and I am sorry that he’s not so well recognized in Italy. Paparazzi photographers are sometime more famous than some artist like Berengo Gardin or Giacomelli.

Berengo Gardin is one of my favorite photographers. He is indeed a wonderful and under-appreciated artist. It’s great to see him recognized and it says something good about the Lucie Awards that they’ve chosen him. Well done.
