Here's another one: http://www.mortenlaursen.com/

It took me a sec to figure out how to turn the pages--you don't just click on the corner of the page, you have to drag it over like you would with an actual book. Kinda cool; kinda annoying.

It's fun and doesn't get in the way of seeing the images which is obviously the most important. But I just can't get too far into a website that I can see the actual pixels because the image files are too small. I now it loads faster, but you still want a quality image.

Yeah I liked the simplicity and novelty of it but I agree with your attitude about turning computer screens into books and magazines.

I like the simplicity of it. I have struggled with the desire to pack more and more content into my website. What I really need is an objective voice to tell me what to strip away. One thing I consistently hear from photo editors and art buyers is that the images are paramount. Everything else is basically clutter.

Unfortunately, there are other things to think about, like search engine optimization, having a constant source of fresh content (a reason for people to return to the site), and outlets for stock sales.

Getting the balance right can be tricky.

The first TV programs were a bit like cameras pointed at radio shows. They aren't like this anymore. This site is a bit like a screen pointed at a book.

Nuff said.

Great work though.

Nice idea, I've seen that before and really like it. But I don't like how it resized my window.

Two big pet peeves with photo websites:
1. Resizing my window. (I have it the size I want.)
2. Playing music. (I have my own, thanks.)

Morten Laursen has had this in place for a very long time.
