Thoroughly gripping. The audio really adds a palpable layer of presence.
And read the comments by readers. Seems pretty futile fighting over there since no invading force has overcome the Afghans.
Dayum.
Ambushes are never fun.
Ideally we are not trying to overcome/conquer the Afghans.
By Afghans, I meant the Taliban here.
When I first glanced at the title of this post, my mind somehow interpreted it as “TAYLOR Hicks in Afghanistan,” and I started to wonder just what the white-haired winner of American Idol (2006) was doing over in the Middle East…
Captivating. Thank you
I wish I had a cool name like that…sigh….
Gripping stuff. I’ve just watched a BBC World Service programme about the Chasseurs Alpins in Afghanistan and the New York Times presentation had much more impact on me. (Although the BBC Programme gave much more information)
