It’s the new way of life.

“There are little ways of cutting,” said one staffer, who drank a bit of the McKinsey Kool-Aid. “You don’t need to send an entire posse to Joshua Tree for a shot in the desert! Who cares! If the photographer is good, and the clothes are good, the models are good, it’s fine—you can shoot downtown.”

…. Unless you’re shooting fashion for REI or EMS in which cast it might send the wrong message to shoot in an urban setting. Clearly some of the Bikini Fashions in Sports Illustrated could have been shot at Jones Beach but by no means could you capture the same look and feel by shooting the whole spread near an exit of the L.I.E.

Ha! Common’ Rob – this one isn’t even challenging. Have a great weekend.

Maybe the Conde Nast mags should start to be more like Flaunt:

Then they could REALLY save a lot of money.

Amen to that brother! A location is as far away or as close as your mind will allow…

Just because you could doesn’t mean you should.

I don’t remember how old I was the first time my mother told me that, but it seems to ring true here.
