aw darn, i was hoping to read what ruven had to say about the shoot. i love the actresses’ expressions individually, but i think i’d like it better if there were some interaction between them. i saw this play in LA with dunaway as callas and it blew my freaking mind off. i suppose i’m looking for a reflection of the intensity of the play in this shot, but mayhaps that wasn’t the point. it is a beautiful portrait of the two of them, and i hope it encourages a sold-out run.
I LOVE this image… feels like late 60’s Avedon…. I’d love to hear more about the shoot…. and of course the interaction between people that led to this shoot… yes, I know it says 1995 in the footer of the image, but I’d still love to hear the story
Like it. Very Fellini-esque!
