  1. Cool and inspiring photos and story. You know the world has changed when a sugar and caffeine water company produces something like this instead of Surfer or National Geographic. I guess it’s sort of cutting out the middleman. Instead of just buying ads in magazines, you can produce your own magazine, too. It’s maybe something big brands will be doing a lot more of (if they aren’t already).

    • Exactly. Then you don’t have to worry that a magazine you’ve been advertising in for years might suddenly write a story about how caffeinated sugar sports drinks are bad for you.

  2. I really like what I’ve been seeing on the pages of the Red Bulletin. They do great work.

  3. This is fantastic.

  4. I’m so sick of this black and white film grain filter. Why can’t we all just shoot real photos instead of hanging our hats on slick tricks stolen from instagram!

    • pretty sure this was shot on tri-x, do you know differently?

      • This style of photograph has been around for a long time. Capa wasn’t using Instagram on D-day. These pics are the best i’ve seen for ages, very inspiring.

  5. Super slick images, really digging them.

  6. Wow. Great story, well done.

  7. Ugh doesn’t look instagram to me, looks more like triX or may if one was raised on Fuji acros pushed, then again JMHO.

I really like a lot of the shots and I am not that familiar with “Andrew McConnell / PANOS”

  8. I like this series. It doesn’t look instagram’ish to me.

  9. black and white filter/ image/contrast/filter/add grain/highpass filter/ shadow highlight filter/curves/levels/dodge / burn/

    there ya go.
