For some reason (could be the sweaters) this reminded me of the age old question, why do European fashion magazines have such edgier/more artistic/hipper/cooler/more avant garde photography? The old arguments around the US being more conservative, etc, don’t seem as compelling now that even Vogue Turkey (with Kory Birand’s photos) is more out there than the US version. It has to be something else.
