Loved these videos. Klein’s work is humbling. One of my favorite photos of his is http://www.mocp.org/collections/permanent/uploads/KleinEL2003_191.jpg In the video he mentions treating photography like a painting, and this Klein photo (and others) demonstrate that for me — it made me think of Paul Gauguin.
I learned a lot reading Moriyama’s explanation of the effect of desire and one’s age on their photography (never thought of that but it makes so much sense), and on people’s behavior in a city — “(Shinjuku) a stadium of desire” — that’s as illuminating as his photos.
