Ansel Adams Or Uncle Earl?A Bay Area woman may have solid proof to support the assertions of the Ansel Adams estate that negatives a Fresno man bought at a yard sale were not taken by the famed nature photographer as he claims. She thinks they may have been taken by her Uncle Earl.

In recent years, the photography book business has seen self-published titles overwhelm the market - I see many of these titles on a weekly basis, few of which have caught my eye with regards to content and image quality the way Phil Underdown's limited edition Grassland has. It is exciting to see a print-on-demand publication emerge with the characteristics and individuality only larger publishers are typically able to achieve.

Ansel Adams photos found at garage saleTwo small boxes he bought 10 years ago for $45 -- negotiated down from $70 -- are now estimated to be worth at least $200 million, according to a Beverly Hills art appraiser.
Those boxes contained 65 glass negatives created by famed nature photographer Ansel Adams in the early period of his career. Experts believed the negatives were destroyed in a 1937 darkroom fire that destroyed 5,000 plates.
